The Green Recovery

The onset of the COVID 19 pandemic has triggered a monumental social and economic shock. The UK economy has now suffered its biggest slump on record between April and June 2020 as coronavirus lockdown measures pushed the country officially into recession. At the time of submission Scotland’s GDP was 17.6% below the level in February 2020.

Given the current ongoing climate crisis, renewable energy offers a unique position to help re-energise the Scottish Economy, create new employment opportunities and fuel a new period of clean growth for Scotland. Scoop Hill Community Wind Farm offers a significant economic investment for the local area and across Scotland, with long term benefits.
